Second trimester

I finished my MBA classes (hurrah!), which is such a relief. For someone who tends to overbook herself under normal conditions, being pregnant and sick on top of everything has been a real challenge. And a wake up call. I guess this baby is already telling me to slow down!

In week 13, I still have not bid farewell to my all-day sickness, though I have its bags packed and waiting at the door ... I also haven't gained any weight. I am sure that's fine, but everything seems to make me nervous. My little belly is certainly not its normal self, and my clothes are so uncomfortable.

Last night when I was laying in bed, I thought I could feel the baby moving these tiny flutters, but I know it is incredibly early for that. But, who knows? The ninja could be extra strong and persistent.

Ninja baby

This ultrasound was SO amazing. Our baby is crazy! He was kicking, punching, rolling and flipping the whole time, prompting Ryan to shout, "He is a ninja!" I am sure the OB thought we weren't fit to be parents, but we enjoyed ourselves.

The baby was moving so much it was kind of hard to get good shots, and these pictures really don't do the experience justice. But, at least out baby doesn't look like a crustacean anymore.

Gobble, gobble

Okay, car rides and pregnancy do not go well together. Our trip to Boston for Thanksgiving was a mixed bag. I felt pretty awful the whole time, and had to puke in a Target bag in the car (poor Dylan who had to witness it all). On the other hand, it was so great to tell Ryan's family and enjoy the warm reactions. Auntie Jordyn! :-) Also, we came home with Ryan's baby book, and a winter snowsuit he wore as a baby. So sweet.

My pudgy belly keeps getting pudgier.
