A Perfect Day
Open my eyes and see nothing but gorgeous leaves on a gorgeous Fall Sunday. Dogs and coffee, and Adelaide comes down from her bedroom after lounging for a while.
We head to drop her off at grandma and grandpa's and Ryan and I go to a hot yoga class, and sweat out everything. Sweat and sweat and more sweat. Wring it all out. We pick her back up and visit a bit. Then some chores on the way home - a stop at Petco to visit the kitties and ferrets.
Lunch, and hang out and then Adelaide and I go to Kohl's to do some shopping! We stop for some coffee and smoothies on the way. We go to the toys, and nothing appeals. In the clothes we both find stuff for her, and start filling the cart. Adelaide says, "Could I get a bra?" And she knows exactly which one - a blue striped preteen sports bra. I keep putting clothes in the cart until Adelaides says, "No, mom! It is enough!" and we laugh and laugh. She asks to try them all on, and we do.
When we get home, we make an apple crisp, delighted at the spiral apple peel and corer that mom bought me just like hers. Then we watch Disney Descendants movie, and cuddle up.
Ryan cooks dinner, and we snuggle up for the night. These are the days I live for.
