So it begins.

We went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner the other night, and Ryan took Adelaide over to see the video games she wanted to look at. After a few minutes, Ade came running back over to me and said, "You have any quarters, Mommy?" She said it in such a way that I felt certain Ryan had told her to come over and ask me. So I dutifully opened my wallet and gave her the quarter I had. Ryan came over at this point and tells me he told her no such thing. He said he had no quarters and they couldn't play the games.

Apparently, she is clever enough now to know that Daddy and Mommy may have different answers, and she should seek multiple avenues to secure the resources she requires. As a friend of mine said, a part of us dies when this happens, but a part of them starts to live. I think it's called growing up.

ABCD's and tumbling

The past few weekends have been filled with Farmer's Market glee, and just autumnal unplanned weekends. Just a quick post, with pics and videos telling the story of how September is going for us, before I begin some MBA studying while Ryan and Adelaide are at gymnastics class.

Wedding!

Adelaide likes weddings. Specifically, she likes dancing at weddings. A lot.

Last weekend we headed up to Pittsburgh only a few days after getting back from the beach. Adelaide was an angel on the plane ride there and back. Everyone was home from both sides of the family, which was an amazing occurrence. My Aunt Dee and Uncle Arn had never met Adelaide! I was so excited to be surrounded by family the whole weekend. And, of course, Ade was thrilled to see so many people including her GiGi, PapPap, Nino, and Noni!

p well past her bedtime (not usually a

good idea with this little one). Apparently, we didn't need to worry. We had a blast visiting with our family we don't get to see often, and watching Adelaide attack the dance floor! The toughest part of the night was keeping her from joining the bridal party for the wedding dances!
