Chaos reigns

The move to the new house has not been uneventful. Construction schedules were pushed back, our move date was affected, and in all, it has been a tough coordination.

However, we are here now! The boxes are everywhere and I expect they will be for some time. Adelaide seems to like her new digs, and the girls have their fence being installed this week. While the dogs really enjoy their new yard, Adelaide has decided she doesn't care for grass. On one of the nice days last week I put her toes and fingers in the grass, and she made the worst faces. Yet, she kept reaching to touch it anyhow...

Adelaide had her 9mo checkup this morning. She is advanced in motor skills (she can pick up things smaller than cheerios and pop them right in her mouth) and she is also advanced in verbalizations. What a surprise - she is a talker! In fact, the other day we swear she exclaimed, "Krikey!" We think she knows her name has an Australian connection. :-) She weighs 17.2 lb and is 27in for whatever that is worth. When she is squiggling and wriggling, trust me she feels like she weighs 100lbs and her limbs are everywhere.

So, let's take a look at Adelaide on St. Patty's Day:

Now let's check her out on Easter:

I will have to add more pics soon. I promise I will right after I complete my other list of high priority items, like find the box with my underwear in it... ;-)

Okay, now this is VERY important - sell our old house for us!

Enough is enough

We all caught the flu this week. Ryan was the worst with a fever almost hitting 103. Ade had a fever, but it didn't get that high. Daddy slept in the guest room for three nights because he was coughing so badly, which left mommy to care for sick baby all alone.

I think if you ever wonder what parenting is like, try this experiment: next time you are sick and really need to cough, hold it in. Breath through it, relax your muscles, just DON'T COUGH. Tears will probably stream down your face as phlegm rolls straight into your lungs, but your sick baby won't wake up. This is motherhood.

But, tell me, could she be any cuter?

We will be moving into the new house for St. Patty's Day! Can't wait! Know anyone who wants to buy this house? We'll give you a good deal... I'll post some pics in a before and after album of the new house soon.
