Tooths and more

If you love me, please hit me in the head if I talk about taking on any new projects, buying new houses, starting a business, earning another degree - who knows what schemes I might come up with. Just knock sense into me.

We are LOVEing our new house. It really suits us. The neighborhood is all flowering trees (and pollen!), and it is just gorgeous. All of our renovations have turned out just as we hoped, and the house is really comfortable. We are about 80% unpacked and furnished. I am just taking my time... it hurts, but I am doing it.

Ryan went to Boston for a weekend, so I was single mommy, and that was something. Ade and I had a lovely time (we went to the mall and shared a vanilla frozen yogurt cone! mmm), though we truly missed daddy. We appreciated Aunt Jenna's help!

Last weekend Amy and Bill came to visit NC, but Bill caught the bug, and only Amy was able to come over and play ;-) We had a yummy Sunday brunch together. Adelaide took a nap with daddy for a portion of the visit, so I had some girlfriend-time. It was SO nice to catch up and talk. Amy and Bill, I miss you guys!

My parents came to visit this weekend, and that was such a pleasure. We had a great time, and Ade entertained all. She loves her grandma and grandpa, that's for sure! My dad hadn't seen her since early December, so he was amazed how much she has changed. She knocked over block towers, played peekaboo with blankets, and pushed her walker all over the place. She forced us all to read her books over and over again ("I Love You Through and Through" especially!)

This weekend she also finally cut her first tooth! We woke up Sunday morning and I could feel it poking through. It was way more exciting than I would have thought. I was truly thrilled and proud, as though she had done something miraculous. ;-) I can't believe she is growing up so fast!

I also had the StrideRite experience this weekend - my goodness! You have to sign in, be fitted, get these crazy expensive shoes so your child walks properly. It was chaos at the store because it was the last day of the buy one, get one half off sale. And I HAD to buy them - I mean, I want to be a good parent! I don't want Ade to walk funny! Geez! I spent more on two pairs of shoes for her than I would spend on myself, and she will wear them for like two months. Ah well.

So, you asked for more pics and videos, and we deliver! Check them out here:

Here is a great video of Ade enjoying the yard and practicing standing, dancing, and grass-hating.
