Dad, Ade and OBX month

This really is why I promise myself I will post more than once a month... here we go.

We kicked off June with my annual trip to Orlando for Innovate. This time I was there as a business partner instead of as an IBMer, so that was fairly surreal. It was great catching up with the people I miss though, and we had a great conference for growing PointSource relationships as well.

Meanwhile, at the homefront, my babybaby graduated kindergarten!!! I was so sad that I couldn't be there for the day itself, but luckily daddy and Aunt Jenna both made it a special day for Adelaide. Then, I got to spoil her the next day when I got home. In the end, I think she made out pretty well ;-)

I unpacked, and repacked, as I often do when I return from Innovate, and we headed to the OBX with the girls for the week. We ate at all of our fave spots, and chilled out as usual. This time we also did a cool tour of the wild horse areas. Instead of using one of the tourist places, we took a tour with the wild horse museum people. Very fun. Unfortunately, all 3 of us got a wicked summer cold, so we were kind of lowkey for a few days with sore throats and stuffed heads.

Father's Day and Ryan's birthday week involved lots of daddy fun time. We had a yummy brunch at Jibarra, and we tried to go on a Food Tour that didn't exactly work out... Ade hung with Aunt Jenna and Vivian for the day anyhow while Ryan and I just spent some hours together eating, shopping, hanging out like grown-ups.

And today is the last day my baby is going to be a 5 year old. I can't understand how this has happened, but it has. She is a little adult person. I snuggle and kiss her chubby cheeks anyhow every minute I can.
