Officially crawling

There wasn't suddenly a day or a moment, but Ade is officially on the move. A little rugrat. She can get where she wants to go. She is still more interested in pulling up, standing and walking in her walker.

I have some new videos to upload - hopefully I'll do it this weekend.

She smiles and laughs all the time. Who knew my cranky dragon would turn into such a happy little clown?

Love day and bad parenting

Daddy got his two girls roses for Valentine's Day - Mommy got a dozen and Ade got a single bud :-) So cute.
Check out my little Miss Sexy:

Also, consider this my official apology - I am not the mom who will have the time to make cupcakes with my child's picture on them for holidays. I shall not compete in the mommy-guilt-crafts; hear it now. Adelaide can learn about the Harvard Business Review case studies I am reading for my MBA instead of how to be a domestic goddess. Then, when she is a workoholic CEO instead of a perfectionist Stepford Wife, she can still blame her mother. Hee hee.

Frequent flier

Adelaide was a real world traveler this week! Mommy toted her and a ton of bags through the airport and headed to Pittsburgh to visit and also to recruit at CMU for IBM.
The trip up was great. We had a delay, of course, but Ade was a champ. She took a nap while we waited and then just played so sweetly on the plane. Check her out looking out the plane window:
The bad news was that when we got into the car to head to my parents' house, they had a flat tire! Ade had to use even more of her patience while we waited for AAA, and I fed her full of puff cereal. Not a great lunch, but at least it was something!
My recruiting day at CMU went really well. It was nice just being back on campus, and I found a ton of great students for the coop position I am hiring for, as well as for my peer managers who are hiring. I don't think grandma and grandpa minded hanging out with the baby at all, either :-)
Yesterday we visited my dad at Best Buy, and then ate at Eat-n-Park. Mmmm! Adelaide stayed in the highchair the whole time and had quite a meal! Then we shopped and Ade got to see the carousel that she loves.
Great grandparents did plenty of visiting, and then we headed home today. Daddy sure missed his girls! Ade was good again, even though some crazy security alarm, and yet another delayed flight. All of this adventure has her EXHAUSTED! And, I think mommy is even more tired than baby. Making it through an airtrip by yourself with a baby is certainly no joke. I think they should make it an Olympic competition. :-)
