May is the month

What a month of celebrations! I had a triple celebration - Mother's Day, my birthday, and my MBA graduation - yes, you read that right, my MBA!!! Finally!!!

Last weekend my parents came down to visit and Ryan and I went out to dinner. We tried a place in Cary called An's. We did the chef's tasting menu, and I had the wine pairing. It was an amazing Asian meal with a variety of dishes. We had a blast.

It is still sinking in that I actually finished this degree after nearly 5 years.

Grandma and I took Ade to her gymnastics class wearing her Army outfit that Uncle Jim and Aunt Micki bought her.

Earlier in the month, we also had dinner with our friends, Jeff, Alison, Mira, and Alex, where we had a great time discussing all of our tricks as parents and taking comfort in the techniques we've both tried. The kids repeatedly told us we were being too loud, so I guess we were having a good time :-)

Adelaide has taken to waking up from naps and sleep as a cat, which Grandma named Ginger. She meows and purrs. A lot. She says amusing things as always too, such as the other night while falling asleep when she asked me if, when she got bigger, she could put a pencil behind her ear. Apparently, after I questioned her about this, she had seen one of the teachers at school with a pencil behind her ear. I asked if someone told her she had to be bigger to do that, thinking a teacher at school had told her that, and she said, "No, I knew that myself." It amazes me hearing the things that she finds interesting, and what she spends time thinking about!

We went to the pool last weekend and yesterday, and Ade will be taking swim lessons this summer.

I also took on a new job at work, so I've been a bit busy with that. I had to travel to Littleton, MA early this past week, and I am headed to Waterloo, Canada tomorrow just for the day!
