The Magic of Disney, Day 2

Friday -

We assumed that Epcot, while still plenty of fun, would be the least interesting to Ade, so we chose to do it first. As it turns

out, it was an awesome day. We were so excited walking into the park, and she loved all of the characters on everything

everywhere. We went straight to the Figment Imagination ride. She was very excited to see the "real Figment," but only a few minutes into the ride, with lots of loud noises and puffs of air, she was scared. She didn't cry or freak out, but she started saying, "I want to go right back home!" on

repeat. So, just a few minutes into our Disney experience and Ryan and I were looking at each other like, oh no… Luckily we emerge into this big play area, and there is one where you move

your arm around and it controls where a figment flies on the screen. That won her over, and she referred to it later "I do like this!" moving her arm up and down saying she liked that part. Next we did Nemo and The Seas, which she enjoyed more. Then we went ahead to the World Showcase

to go eat lunch in Paris, where we told her Remy would make our lunch.

We had a delicious parisian lunch, and Ade picked up her mask. Epcot has a genius activity sponsored by Sharpie where they have a mask, and in each country you get a stamp for visiting and they have a marker table set up for the kids to color. This activity really kept Ade interested in visiting each of the countries. All we had to say was, "Are you ready to go get your next stamp?" and we would be off.

The day was gorgeous out, by far our best weather-wise, and we so enjoyed just walking through the worlds leisurely. There was a lot of Ade to see, and she especially enjoyed our stop for churros in Mexico. We sat on a bench and watched birds while we snacked. Ade had to go to pee, so I went to take her to the baby station to use her travel potty (due to her fear of public auto-flushing toilets). On our walk over, a duck came out of the wooded area and was walking straight for our feet. For whatever reason, exhaustion or really just comedy, Ade thought this was the funniest thing she had ever seen. She laughed so hard about this duck, that I thought for sure she was going to pee right there.

We went back to the hotel for a small rest, and then went to Downtown Disney. First stop was to find her a Sulley from Monsters, Inc. and then to Bongo's for dinner - one of our fave places to eat. Ropa vieja… mmm.
