The big slide!

This weekend has been tons of fun. We took Ade to the pool for the first time this season, and she was so excited to hit the water! Here she is all ready to go, and then some pics while we were there:




We hung out at a festival in Wake Forest on Saturday as well. We headed to the pool a second time yesterday with the Franks, and Adelaide was thrilled daddy was there this time. The first time Aunt Jenna and I took her, and she desperately wanted to go down the slide. I had to tell her only daddies and babies can go down the slide, because I knew I was not going to be the one to take her down that water slide for her first time! Sure enough, as soon as we got there yesterday morning, she wanted to go down the slide. Here is a clip of their second (and by far not last) trip down that slide:


I got some mall shopping in during her nap yesterday, and then we went for some Mexican enchiladas! Today Jenna and I took her to the natural history museum while Ryan worked (poor daddy!). She LOVED the dinosaurs and she was so excited for the storytime with live turtles as well. There was another little girl there who was 2, and she was so much bigger than Ade. Our petit fleur truly is a little tiny squirt.

Overall, this has been a really nice, relaxing, fun family weekend. If only Ade was sleeping without pitching a crying fit every night and every nap... Ah, well. Perfect can't always be perfect. ;-)
