Easter galore
Adelaide has taken to exclaiming "Whoa!" anything delights her, mouth a small round O. She said Whoa a lot this weekend ;-)
Thursday Ade had a "practice" egg hunt at school.
When she came home Thursday, I couldn't believe what a little girl she has grown into. She came in carrying her basket, and telling me all about her day.Friday we hung out with Aunt Jenna while daddy worked at home. We dyed Easter eggs, and didn't even make a mess.
Yesterday we hung out in the morning. Adelaide even joined mommy for a nice warm shower. Afterwards, Ade relaxed wrapped in a towel while I made her some hot chocolate.
Combine that with her love of having her toenails painted, and you know she is totally ready for the spa. Last night I went shopping with Jenna, and had a really good mall trip. I found the stuff I wanted/needed, and also felt relaxed. There was hardly anyone out shopping, so that definitely helped.I really had so much fun preparing stuff for Adelaide's Easter, and hiding eggs for her. I delighted in that as much as I think she enjoyed finding them this morning!
Currently she is napping, though naps have become about 50/50 on weekends unfortunately. (BTW, I cannot read I Love You Forever without crying my eyes out. Must hide that book...) After her nap, we set up a ball pit outside because it is another gorgeous NC spring day. Ryan is gonna cook us a nice ham, mac-n-cheese, and asparagus for dinner. Mmmm... Ryan and I plan to watch a movie, and eat cheesecake (which the Easter bunny kindly brought me!) tonight.
It has been a really lovely weekend so far, and I can't say how blessed and happy I feel to have such a wonderful little family. I could never ever have predicted how much having a little nugget would change my life. While I always love my precious daughter, I do not always love being a parent. This weekend I have loved both. In fact, I think Adelaide says it best in this video clip:
