The Disney Post

We were lucky enough to be able to coordinate an amazing vacation with Jenna, Jon and Vivian, and witness V's first time seeing the magic of Disney. I am so thankful that we are able to keep the girls close. Nothing was better than seeing them play together.

One of the most special moments I will remember in my mind forever of this trip was the two of them visiting Princess Merida - awestruck, smiling at her and each other, and stealing at least twice as much time as anyone else got with the princess.

But, outside of the park, I hold just as special memories - in the hotel room, playing every morning and evening, gathering up their toys in one of our rooms and creating their own special worlds of memories.

Sunday we arrived, after Vivian's first airplane ride. Ade was sure to tell her all of the details, being such a seasoned pro herself. Jenna had thrown Jon's full cup of coffee away at the airport, anxious to get into the Southwest line to board, so that become a running joke the rest of the trip. We headed straight over to Epcot after we checked into the fantastic Waldorf, and the girls started collecting their stamps on Duffy the bear from each world. (BTW, making Fast Pass and dining reservations from the app on the bus ride there was a new game changer - go mobile!) I loved having Jenna be able to share the magic of her own favorite childhood ride, Figment, with Vivian. :-) We ate a fantastic meal in England and enjoyed our first night.

Monday we went to Hollywood Studios where the girls were very patient as the ride lines were longer than anticipated. The girls were selected to be part of the show for the Pirates of the Caribbean, and Ade got a line to say while holding a special key. Ade was very excited to be tall enough to go on some of the bigger rides she couldn't go on before, so we split up and took her to Star Wars. We all headed back to chill out at the Waldorf for a bit, and enjoy the pool. Then we went to Downtown Disney for dinner at Fulton's. We had an awesome meal, and so much fun eating there! The evening turned into a bit of a bummer though when I got a text message that Jenna and Jon were on the way to the ER with Vivian - she had slipped taking a nighttime shower and split her head. A few staples and a late night later, she was perfectly fine by morning.

Tuesday was Magic Kingdom day, and we headed off while Vivian rested for the morning. Both Ryan and Adelaide got to star in the new Beauty and the Beast show in the completely remodeled Fantasy land!

Wednesday we headed back to Epcot for our breakfast with the Princesses. Frozen being the epic hit that it is, the wait to see Elsa and Anna was over 5 HOURS! Not us. We took the girls to see the dragon wall, and we see them walking out of the restroom. I pulled the trigger on those photos like a ninja. Score.

Thursday the boys opted out for the morning while Jenna and I bravely took the girls to Animal Kingdom ourselves. There was plenty of negotiation, running for fast passes, and then exhaustion.

Friday it as time to head home. I had saved 4 free drink tickets from Southwest for the return flight as our last adult reward for making it through the trip.

There isn't enough room in a single blog post to share as many photos as would be adequate to truly illustrate the trip. I have 412 photos, after all. I will leave you with just a few more... until next time, Mickey! xoxo
