Tornados, eggs and gardens
This month we have been enjoying some extremely variable weather; it is gorgeous out one day, and rainy the next. Or, ripping twisters through the land!
Yesterday we spent 20 minutes huddled in the tiny interior powder room while we waited for a grounded tornado to pass. Oh yes, 2 adults on laptops/phones, 1 Ade on her iPod, and 2 dogs eating chewies in that small space. Made me think of growing up in PA where we had plenty of tornado warnings, but we also had large basements. Ade's response to it all, "It rumbled and rumbled and out came Saruman!" That night I said how it was crazy how we almost had a tornado, and she said, "Yea. I just played my iPod." Unfazed.

Just before the tornado insanity (lots of damage in Raleigh, btw - national news), we dyed Easter eggs. Ade LOVES hard boiled eggs, so this was a great project as far as she was concerned, the fun of doing it, and then enjoying the result.

Today, we were busy gardeners:

We've also spent time at our favorite park having a picnic and playing ball, and enjoyed weekend visits with Aunt Jenna and Vivian.
