The Magic of Disney, Day 4

Sunday -

So exciting - we were ready to finally head to Magic Kingdom! We drove to ensure we were able to spend as much time as possible at the park rather than waiting for the hotel buses. On the monorail, Ade shouted, "To infinite and beyond!" Ade was SO excited to go see Cinderella's castle. I am running out of adjectives for excited, but Ade was jubilant when we rounded the corner of Main Street and saw the castle. When we got to the castle, there was a Minnie Mouse statue, to which Ade said, "I am wearing your panties!" She was, in fact, wearing Minnie panties. :-) Unfortunately, the weather was bitter cold with the wind.

Ade immediately wanted to get on the carousel. As soon as we sat down, I heard someone behind us calling my name, and we turned around to see Anabel, Ryan's friends Matt and Julie's daughter, on the house behind us! We did know we were going to be there at the same time, and planned to spend Monday today, but it was still a strange coincidence to end up on horses next to each other on the carousel!

Next up, we headed to Ariel's grotto, where Ade got to talk to the little mermaid and pet her tail. Ade said it felt scaly, and told Ariel she liked her hair. It was precious. We visited Minnie Mouse's cottage and Ade loved the oven the baked a birthday cake and the microwave the popped popcorn. Mickey's house, on the other hand, was a bit of a disappointment to her. We spent some fun time in the big store, and got Ade a Minnie Mouse fleece to fight off the cold. We stopped for a warm drink and snack at the Starlight Cafe.

In Tomorrowland we went on the Buzz Lightyear where Ade helped to defeat the evil Emperor Zerg. Ade kept telling us that was her favorite ride. Then we saw the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Factory show.

After a nap at the hotel, we went back to Magic Kingdom again. We did the Tiki birds, and Ade loved the talking birds. She liked to tell us that Iago was naughty and Zazu was nice. We went to see Country Bear jamboree, and then It's a Small World. Although Ryan hated it, Ade loved it. She enjoyed the boat ride and all the animals and little kids. We ate some dinner at the Pinnachio place, and Ade got one more ride on the carousel. Then, we went to Mickey's Philharmonic, a 3D music show. I got Ade to keep her "magic" glasses on, and she was mesmerized by how the characters kept looking like "I could almost reach them!" She literally had her little hand in the air reaching out, almost falling off her chair!

Our day at Magic Kingdom really was absolutely magic. :-) Ryan went out that night to meet his friend, Matt, for drinks, and mama just chilled with the kiddo.
