Skinny garden!

Ade started KINDERGARTEN!!! Real school I tell you! My mom told Ade a story about how her grandma used to call it skinny garden ;-)

Ade is in Mrs. Jones' class, which is the frog class. We spent $175 on school supplies, no joke. The list included things like a pencil set with lead numbers, and the literal size of the pencil pouch needed. We spent an hour between Staples and Target, and then I still needed to order some of the items online!

I was not a huge fan of wearing dress code, but so far it has been pretty simple other than attempting to find clothes in Ade's size. Most of the "uniform" purveyors only start their sizing at a 5T, and Ade is still in 4T! I think I have accomplished finding enough that she doesn't look like a baggy homeless person in her clothes.

Dropping her off and watching her walk into the building on her own is a moment that makes you realize how grown she is. No, it isn't a school bus (thank heavens), but it is one more step toward independence...
