Uncle Johnson

For some odd reason, Adelaide likes to call Uncle Dylan by various names (including, but not limited to, Dylan of course). Last weekend, we visited MA, and Ryan really enjoyed when she called her buddy Uncle Johnson. :-) Ade clings to Dylan when he is around, including making him watch My Little Pony episodes on her iPod last visit, and carrying her around THE ENTIRE TIME at the aquarium this visit.

Ryan and I got to enjoy some time together in Portsmouth one morning and afternoon, while Ade tortured played with Grammy playing safari and zoo buddies for hours on end. We went to Strawberry Banke, a harbour town preserved from the 1800's, and then we had lunch on the water at a yummy place called Surf.

We had more yummy food at Grammy and Grampy's, and visited with Lindsay, Luke, and cousin Jack. Jack enjoyed "chasing" Adelaide while she wheeled around on her horse. Chaos, I tell ya!

The trip to downtown Boston was delight. We had a blast at the aquarium, and who can complain about Faneuil Hall food and shopping. Ade even got to see a random and fairly elaborate juggling act going on outside.

Ade was a bit cranky, and not quite herself, having a few crying meltdowns over the weekend. We had time change on top of travel, so I am sure that didn't help. In all, I think everyone really enjoyed the trip, despite some of the dramatic waterworks displays. As Ade would say, "Yea, right."

In other news, Ade cracks up continually. For example. I was singing to her the other day some crazy little ditty and asked her if she liked my song. Her reply, "No thanks." And I said, ok, I won't sing. Upon a moment of reflection, when she probably considered she may have hurt my feelings, she said, "I like the way you sing, now just isn't the time for it." In n even sweeter anecdote, she told Ryan, "I have magic in my heart. That's what makes me so kind." She is 100% right. She is the most magical, kindest girl.
