Grandma Mylicon

What a great week so far it has been having my mom here visiting! She is a huge help, and it just nice to have company everyday. We have been joking that she is Grandma Mylicon, because she seems to be as good of a cure for Ade's gas as the medicine is!

We had a few outings so far - we went to Babies R Us and that was Ade's first real trip into commerce. Unfortunately, she woke up the second aisle, and I ended up nursing her in the Mommy Room while my mom did the shopping. Oh well. Here is a pic of her in the stroller:

We also took a walk to Kerr Drug and had our morning coffee and brownies. Ade cried half the walk up, and the whole walk back, with a short nap in the middle. She hates her stroller so much! It is really limiting.

We still need to get some nighttime routine in place, rather than her sleeping in our bed. And, she still seems to have a fussy time each evening.

Oh - we also did a mommy-baby bathtime. I nursed her while we were both in the bathtub to try to get her to associate the water with something happy. She did a good job, but her eyes were wide as saucers. I think if I wasn't nursing her, that would not have lasted two seconds.

Good days, bad days, it's a baby's life...

Nursing in the tub: what an awesome idea! I've never heard of that before! I remember (long after nursing was over) getting in the tub with Gwen once, just to convince her it was safe, when she was going through an anti-bath phase.

Also, my mom also seems to have a way with babies and tummy gas. Must be in the grandma job description.

I swear, there have been times I made it out to a store with baby Gwen or Paulina, only to accomplish a half-feed, and nothing else. Sigh.
