Croup!

Tuesday Adelaide went from being on the mend to suddenly sounding AWFUL. She woke up from an uncharacteristically long two hour nap and I was going to take her to daycare and go to the home inspection, when she started coughing and choking and making horrible sounds. It terrified me. I called the pediatrician and Ryan and sat in the bathroom with the hot shower running until Ryan could get home. Turns out Ade has the croup. They gave her a steroid shot at the doctor, but warned us we might end up in the ER for breathing treatments overnight. Bla. Luckily, we just had to manage a few more saunas over the past few days and nights. It was horrible seeing her so sad and miserable. She just kept making sad cooing sounds like she had no energy left. So pishy.

They said the worst of it lasted 3-5 days, and now she just seems to be draining. It is no fun having a sick baby.
