New year's resolution

What a blast we had over Christmas telling all of my grandparents and reletives the great news! Unfortunately, I was still feeling absolutely dreadful, and spent a lot of time managing my illness between events.

My resolution was to harrass my OB until I got a prescription that worked. Finally, I got Zofran, which is actually a drug designed for chemo patients. I got a 7-day supply prescribed (20 pills) and paid a $60 copay. Not terrible, but pretty steep. Well, the retail price listed on my pharmacy bill was over $900! Can you imagine? So now I am able to live again. I don't think anyone who hasn't gone through horrible "All Day" sickness can really understand what it has been like to feel human again. I don't like having to take drugs, but I started gaining weight and that makes me feel better.

My belly seemed to really pop out the week after Christmas, but has slowed down since then. Maybe it will grow in spurts.

I have an appt on Friday morning, but we won't get an ultrasound. They will just check the heartbeat. I still can't wait. Every single thing that happens, or doesn't happen, makes me worried. I wish I had a way to constantly monitor my internal progress.

Here is a secret from the maternity club: the dressing rooms in the maternity departments are WAY nicer than the regular dressing rooms. Check out the GAP maternity dressing room if you ever need an example.
