Ade the Muse

BJ Neal, our friend (and contractor who remodeled this house) Matt's stepmom, rented us an awesome beach house in the OBX this summer. While we were there we admired her paintings in the beach cottage. She agreed to do a painting for us of Adelaide at the beach that would capture our memories of that wonderful, relaxing family vacation. Today we got the painting and we absolutely adore it! Adelaide was so excited to see it too when she got home today. She kept turning around and staring at it!



Some other Adelaide funnies:
- During bath time when I was insisting she wash not just play, she said to me, "You're making me crazy."
- While driving, she said, "Move your butt, cars! Move it, lady!" I later found out this is because Daddy says this all the time while driving her to school... hmm...
- Ade is almost completely out of pullups, even during sleep. We are almost good with naps, and bedtime next. However, she is afraid of public toilets since an incident with a very loud automatic flusher while she was seated... Tonight she ended up peeing all over the floor in the restroom at Buffalo Wild Wings rather than sit on the terrifying public toilet. Fun.
- She is certain Santa is bringing her every item in the catalogs that she likes.
- Every night, Ade says "Talk about my day." She likes us to review her day with her, and also to preview upcoming days' activities. This has extended to other prompts (talk about Santa, talk about our house, etc.). Last night I was given, "Talk about the door."
- Ade gets two jellybeans every morning when she leaves for school, and she picks out the colors she wants. Then, she names something that is the same color as the jellybeans, such as "Blue like your shirt!" I'll let you guess what she said when picked a brown jellybean - oh, yea, "Brown like poop!"
